When I first saw the new generation after the dreaded infection, I counted 10. By night time yesterday I could easily count an extra 5. Today I can now count over 20 without thinking I've counted one twice. I'm so excited that my tank is finally showing life hehe. I'm hoping to have over 30 and if possible 40 through the next few days. It would just be nice for a full swarm of them, even though I know they won't all make it :(
But yes my Sea Monkeys On Mars tank is in the post. I'm going to share my diamonds, gro-kwickly and sea medic between the two tanks because I am nice hehe. Anyway did 20 pumps on my current tank this morning. I now have a system of 20 in the morning and 10 for overnight. I think it works quite well. I just can't wait to feed the damn things. I think for more excitement Ill use the gro-kwickly for the first feed :D.
"After his creation did he rest?" NO! Theyve hatched and I am so pleased that the sea-medic worked. It was quite shocking considering all the bad reviews I've seen of the product. To be honest I don't think it does anything to the sea monkeys but rather the conditions they are in. Hence allowing my eggs to hatch rather than curing any. But yes all is well and I'm just checking on whether or not I should feed them. I've aerated them already today giving it a good 20 pumps. On the product side of things I don't think I'll add sea diamonds until they're big enough to not get crushed by them LMAO.
Well I went ahead and added some sea medic anyway. I'm going to wait the day and see what happens and hope they can finally hatch and be happy hehe. I'm considering getting the sea monkeys on mars kit as I think it is an absolutely fantastic kit. I find the sculpture of it amazing and think the tank itself is very easy for magnification. I'll prob get it on ebay as no matter where I go it's ALWAYS ghostly galleon 9the one I have. But yes wish me luck and I'll get back to you.
Well I did a lot of oxygenating today and still nothing. Although thanks to a very helpful member on the forums, I've managed to understand more what could be the problem. The fact is it looks as if my SMs are in the stage of hatching but have stayed in this stage for ages. Like this
Apparently it's something to do with the water so I'm going to wait and see if I can use some sea medic on it incase its outside infection to the water and then hopefullyall should be well. More updates tomorrow!
Sorry to have started the blog on day 4. Didn't see the feature until today hehe. Anyway to sum up the past three days I followed all guidelines and have had the optimum temperature for activity and so on.
There has been this random sea monkey I always see, through the past 3 days its the only one I see lol. I admit I see the odd few here and there but the most at any on time has been 4. I just feel as if they are dieing.
The water was originally clear but now has that kinda texture within it you see in a petrol spill. (Trust me there's none in there lol). But hey I'll see how things go. Maybe I'm not aerating enough I'll do upto 30 pumps tomorrow.
