Sea Monkeys Mini-World: Hang 10 Day Eight!

Things are going superb! These little buggers are getting quite big. I fed them on Day 6 using the new feeding methods of shaking the food up in a bottle with some of the tank water. Pretty soon they should be big enough for pictures! There are at least 20 of them! This is probably one of the most sucessful tanks I've had.

I must say that I will be using Packets 1 and 2 at the same time more often!! ;)

Sea Monkeys Mini-World: Hang 10 Day Two!

They didn't hatch yesterday, so Day Two officially starts here!

Yesterday they wouldn't hatch, so I placed them under a desk lamp for a few hours. This morning I noticed life! They are only hours old and they are quite big right now! [See, who says you can't add packets one and two at the same time?! ;-) ]

I will also be feeding them Sunday by the new methods of disolving the food better. So far this seems like it'll be a brilliant colony!!!

Sea Monkeys Mini-World: Hang 10 Day One!

My new kit is here! It's the Hang 10 Kit I got from Amazon.com really cheap!

The Kit
This is a neat little kit! It came with what looks like a smaller version of the Aqua Leash! I'm going to be using this for aeration purposes. It came with the standard packets, but no Plasma, but I'm okay with that as I rarely use plasma anyway.

Setup
I've followed the routine procedure of washing the tank out with hot tap water.

Next, I filled the tank up with bottled drinking water prepared by reverse-osmosis. The bad thing about this kit is that you can't tell how much water to add. I filled it almost to the top leaving a little smpace for air. As a test, I added the purifier and the eggs. Let's see how the results will be! I then rinsed out the "Mini Leash" with hot water, and used it as a stirring utensil. I have slid my Aqua Leash and Air Pump into a Zip-Lock baggie to keep them nice and clean.

Here's a pic!
