I was just curious, whats your favorite sea-monkey tank shape.
Like the square shaped mini-worlds (on the moon, in the city, hang 10)
Or the other long shaped ones like ocean zoo or ghosly galleon -e.t.c
I like the square shaped ones their good to see at the top.

Maybe it's because my first tank was many years ago, and was the Ocean View - I like the Ocean View tanks the best.

I think the ocean view tank would be too boring for them because there's nowhere to go but around, where as the Mars tank has little things to swim around.

I always jokingly tell people the Mars tank is the best because it's the closest to the Sea Monkeys' natural habitat.  LOL!!!

Um well I always had the original ocean veiw tank but I recently got the new mini world city verision and I like it alot more. But I am not a fan of the veiw port magnifiing glass things on the lid because I keep seeing stuff floating on the top of the water rather then whats in the water, like me sea monkeys. I was really eager to get a Mars one or the space shuttle one but the place I went had the new miny world ones and then had moon and city and I pick city cause I was just to excited to get them i really didn't care which tank I had as long as I had them lol. But I do like it, It seems smaller for isn't its got a cool new landscape never before brought the sea monkeys attention and it is pretty much tip pruff since it isn't as tall, and I have a cat and a dog so that is good.

I admire the Ghostly Galleon whenever I drop by Toys R Us. It looks cool with the flashlight which I'd have to spend money buying batteries for. Maybe when I'm richer, I might buy the Galleon. Then again, maybe not, if I don't want seamonkeys to get stuck.

Next to the old Space Shuttle, the Ghostly Galleon is by far my favourite tank. I love how algae grows on the ship.

Algae grows on the ship? Wow :) I read that it glows in the dark too.

Mm...yeah, the magic castle is cute, but it's smaller than the Ocean tank.

Check the Ghostly Galleon tank review on the home page (Not the forum home, but the whole website home). There's a picture of algae on the ship's mast, it really makes it look like a sunken ship.

Oh yeah! :) I checked it after reading your post :) The ship's mast. And it says on other parts of the ship too. Cool.

I also learnt something interesting about the algae. Their growth can be controlled by lighting and frequency of aeration.

Aerating the water more often will cause less algae to grow, while doing it less often (like twice a week) will cause more algae to grow! It explains why I haven't been seeing algae in my tank. I aerate once every day :) I guess the algae can't "stick" to anything when aeration is often.

Less light less algae too.

The product review makes me more keen to get the Galleon now :) It sounds great.

I went to Toys R Us again yesterday, to look at the Sunken Treasure ship set. The one that's called the Ghostly Galleon. I'm not sure why the names are different when it's the ship at the bottom of an Ocean zoo tank, with flashlight and 3 packets of stuff  except for the Plasma III (water purifier, growth food & eggs) and a Million Bubble pump. The box doesn't say the ship glows in the dark, but I can see it's made of glow-in-the-dark material.

The Ghostly Galleon and Sunken Treasure are different from one another i have both. The ghostly galleon comes with an aqua leash and million bubble air pump the 3 packets and plasma 3 plus the food that it come with is not the regular one with the 3 on it it is the growth food. The sunken treasure on the other hand is the same tank but it only comes with the 3 packets alittle boring compared to all the other stuff the ghostly galleon comes with.

Oh...sorry. I meant the ship of Hidden Treasure. It is similar to the Ghostly Galleon except that Hidden Treasure does not come with Million bubble pump and plasma III. Other than this, Hidden Treasure is like the Ghostly Galleon but with a different name.

It seems that these 3 ships are different.

Hidden Treasure comes with searchlight, aqua leash, and the 3 regular packets.
Sunken Treasure has 3 regular packets but does not come with searchlight.
Ghostly Galleon, of course, comes with everything. Searchlight, aqua leash, Million bubble and 4 packets.

How is the city set a death trap?

And I don't like any of them. I use a fish bowl with castles and plants and they love it. It gives them places to hide when they are fighting and they like to play amungst the leaves. I recomend it.

The city can be dangerous because when the Sea Monkeys swim against the current or into light they may try to swim behind the skyscrapers and get trapped in the little inlaid windows. It's not really as big of a deal as I made it seem, you can easily blow them out with an aqua leash and they don't really get stuck there very often.

It may seem odd, but my current favorite tank is the thin flimsy plastic Baby Nursury set. I like it because it has no themes or scenery, just a tank. It also has a nice sturdy recangular base, so it won't tip over. I'm planning on making a tank similar to Fox's 1 quart tank, so I'll like that one even more.
