Hi, I bought my niece some sea monkeys for her birthday a couple of weeks ago, since she always admires my fish tanks. I've been going to her place, reading the SM instructions and pretending that I knew all about the little buggers. Now I think they are really cool, and feel the need to set up a tank. I have a spare 1'6" x 1' x1' tank that I would like to set them up in. I haven't searched the forums yet (I will soon), but has anybody got any advice about growing the sea monkeys in a larger tank? I don't imagine it would be too different from any other marine tank, would it?

There are a few people who have larger tanks who will be able to help you, but I'm not sure what to do. I just use a regular tank.

go to the home page, click on sea monkey tips, then click on larger aquariums. It’s a great start for beginners. Larger tanks might need a heater (and thermometer so you know your not cooking them) and an air pump attached to an air stone for aeration. For however many packets of eggs you put in remember to add that much more food when feeding. After you get used to it you can start to experiment with salinity using aquarium salt and so on and so forth. Good luck.
