I need help please

Hello all

We followed the directions and our seamonkeys came to life like planned. They got to their 2nd feeding and all of the little creatures disappeared the next day, loads of small swimming creatures gone. We only gave half a scoup and only once every 5 days like indicated. I put the tank on a self to let all the water drain and see if they wouldn't come back. Yet it takes a long time for the water to evaporate, it's been around a month since, only about two inches have gone, but low and behold today when I looked, haven't for a long time, there are five adult monkeys swimming around, two are coupling. ????

I haven't fed them anything nor aerated as there was nothing there for at least a week or more. How they have lived I'm not sure, so what do I do.

I'm afraid if I put more water in, will change the salinity of the water, I'm even hesitant a; bout feeding them or aerating, as they seem to be fine. How have they survived?

thank you

Only the water evaporates.  The salt is left behind, so just add more bottled water to the tank.

You're only supposed to feed about once a week, so they probably had enough food.

I aerate my tank once a day when I'm at work.  I don't aerate on the weekends.  If there is algae, you don't need to aerate as much.

My friend's relatives have tanks that they have totally neglected, and the Sea Monkey's are thriving.  I feed and aerate like clockwork, and mine are good too.  Some people claim that less is more.  Others say that aeration is very important.

So...  keep doing what you're doing.  I would give them something to eat if it has been a week and the water is clear.  If you can't see their digestive tracts (a dark line in the Sea Monkeys), then you definately should feed them.

I hope this helps!
