I was curious, how long does it usually take before smonkeys start breeding? I've had mine about 3 weeks and 1 male has its antenae, with at least another 2 males still growing theres. I have several females, one in particular that seems to be almost fully developed. I call her "Big Momma"... Don't ask.
How long until they are all fully grown and actually start the act of reproduction? (Bowchickawowow! )
I started my tank around June 6. I just got my first eggs hatching (from reproducing) this week. I'd say you should see something in the next week or so.
I haven't seen any "action" in my tank. I must have some modest Sea Monkeys. Perhaps I should play them some Barry White music to set the mood.

Haha, my gf gave me that very same suggestion! With all that bass they'd probably explode though...
Oh and I've got some sad news btw... Big Momma died today. I'll explain why in another thread...

Ah okay. I remember many years ago when I was a kid and had smonkeys they used to swim around attached by the waist for considerable amounts of time. It was pretty awesome. Nature really is an amazing thing!

It is very clever I agree. And seeing them like that during their state of reproduction is hardly explicit. It's very educational, although most kids have some idea what sex is from late primary school. (Elementary school for you Yanks!)
