04-19-2007, 1:05 PM cowgirl5456 Joined on 04-16-2007 Posts 100 WATER PURIFYER My mom had sea-monkeys when she was a kid and she never had to add water purifyer and her tank thrived for years!!!!! I am ordering new eggs and I was wondering if I'd be safe not putting in purifier or would that just stop the eggs from hatching and waste my money?    Report

It also has the some of the eggs in it, so it seems like they're hatching instantly when the eggs are added, but it really takes 24 hours. So I believe you can add the eggs and the purifier at the same time, but wait for a few more replies to be sure.    Report

If you used Distilled or Purified wter you can technically put both packets 1+2 in at the same time since really the purifier packet has aot of the eggs and the instant life packets have some eggs and alot of the salts to conplete the solution. They make you wait 24 hours before adding the second packet becasue the eggs actually take 24 hours to hatch so it looks like instant-life. The purifier really just cleans out some bacteria and chlorine :P.    Report
